The equipment is tailored to suit the needs of the kids, and designed in collaboration with the child, their parents, therapists, and teachers. We also have classes and workshops and makerspace hours where we teach people how to build their own devices. rnFor the faire, we would like a table and the surrounding floor space. We would showcase a few adaptations (a specialty high chair, a rocking chair, some tactile cue cards), and have visitors use the table to build their own creations out of cardboard, white glue, and wooden dowels. We\’ll have some sample designs for them to use as models if they need inspiration (a pop-up desk, iphone holder, small rocking seat).”,”public_description”:”At the Adaptive Design Association, we create custom adaptations for children with disabilities.
